The artist began the Chroma Working Artist’s Program in June 2006 and became part of Chroma Teaching Artist's program in Jan. 2007. The teaching artist’s program involves giving and teaching classes using Chroma Interactive pigments, and mediums. Marilyn has presented several workshops for local art organizations, including Waterloo Watercolor Group, and First Frontier Collage Society and is available for small group lessons and demos. Ms. Nasky also has 16 years credible experience in the public schools as an Art instructor and a Texas Lifetime Teaching certificate in Art K-12
and Secondary Language Arts.
Her teaching career and professional career as an artist have gone hand in hand since she began teaching art on the Navajo Reservation in Kayenta, AZ in 1975. Marilyn works with watercolors, acrylics, water soluable oils , collage and mixed media. Her subject matter is inspired by the natural world.
