What we collect, and what we do with it
Who is responsible
The publisher named in the footer, reachable at privacy@lightwithinstudios.com. The site is operated from Germany and hosted in Canada; it is intended for visitors in Canada and is written with Canada's PIPEDA and Alberta's PIPA in mind, as well as the EU GDPR that applies to the publisher.
What we collect
- Room requests: the name, email, phone, dates, party size, room type and notes you type into the form. We use them to answer your request and, with your agreement, to pass them to the hotel's reservations team or a travel partner to complete a booking. Requests are kept for 12 months and then deleted.
- Server logs: IP address, requested page, time, browser string and referrer, for security and error diagnosis; logs rotate automatically and are not used to profile you.
- Tag manager: the site loads Google Tag Manager to measure how visitors reach it and whether the request form was sent. That tool sets cookies and may process your IP address under Google's terms. A content blocker or your browser's cookie settings stop it; the site works without it.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data and we do not run advertising networks on this site.
Your rights
Ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent to being contacted, by writing to privacy@lightwithinstudios.com. We answer within 30 days. In Canada you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta; in the EU, to your local supervisory authority.
